Treatment for Drug Addiction

Having a drug addict in the family is one of the worst feeling there is. I should know, I had one. For years, my brother Jeff has been suffering from obsessive drug addiction. His life has been ruined because of it. He lost his job, his family and his future. I can't recall one single moment we bonded as a brother and a sister. He never reached out to me. Intervention

Just last month, we had our cable installed so we can watch programs even at night. Since then, I never fail to watch Bio's Intervention. It's is a reality show that tackles issues regarding families. I never fail to be amazed on how those group of doctors and psychologists were able to handle domestic issues that easily. One of the episode I've seen was when a friend asked for the help of the group so they could treat her friend for obesity. It was really heart breaking. The guy was so fat he could not even fit into his car anymore and his friend is so worried that he'll gonna die soon because of his weight. Another episode that really touched my heart was when a wife asked for the doctors help to convince her husband to get treated for drug addiction.

Cute Baby Shamira

My friend PJ just had a niece last month. She was named Shamira, a cute baby from his sister Lendy. I could tell she is PJ's niece because they are look alike. Their nose and their ice are the same. His sister must have been so proud of her baby. Though she doesnt have a husband, his brother PJ promised her that he would take care of her and her baby.

Melai and I wanted to pay a visit to finally see the baby in flesh. I've only seen her from the facebook pictures PJ is posting in his account. I would like to give this baby something special so I checked the net for any cute baby stuff and found this cute preschool mat from posylane. I want to buy her that cute ladybug nap mat. My Dream House

I've been wanting to get a house of my own for the last five years now but haven't decided yet on where I want to have it built. Will it be near where my current office is located or should it be near to where my mom is currently residing in Montalban. I've been sketching some drafts of my dream house and one of which does have an attic. It also does have an outdoor lighting and a swimming pool in the garden which I will also decorate with outdoor ceiling lighting. I bet it would be the highlight of the house. The garden would also have those pretty landscape lighting where I would entertain my guests on maybe some dinner parties. I am really excited to have this plan materialize and hopefully I could be able to get my dream house next year after my retirement. I plan to resign late this year and the retirement fund I'll gonna receive from our company would be used to build the house. I hope God would bless this plan of mine and hopefully all my dreams including this one would come true. Wish me luck.

I Love Books!

A part of my new years resolution for 2011 is to read as much books as I can. Actually I intend to read two books at a time. I believe that reading is a way for us to gain more knowledge and with more knowledge comes more confidence. And more confidence of course builds self esteem. And I need to have a lot of self esteem to be honest with you, haha. Anyways, I was browsing the net about the benefits of reading when I stumbled upon Netflix for Books. I never knew there is such a thing as book rental membership. I would love to just rent books or audio books for my daily reads, in that way, I don't need to collect books and later pass them on to someone due to limited space in my house. I've learned that all I just need to do is to be a member, they do have different membership options depending on the reader's needs. They can pay for monthly, semi-annual or annual membership. What's cool about this is that you get a membership for someone as a gift. I'm sure my friend Mark would appreciate having this as a birthday gift! I would definitely be a member soon!

A New Year Goal

Happy New Year everyone! I’m back with a vengeance! I would like to make blogging as my daily habbit again just like before. I need to make sure my blogs are always updated so I can get a high page rank. How’s your new year? I spent the new year in our house in the mountains and had a blast with my mom, nephew and my boyfriend. It was a simple and yet fun new years eve with the ones I love. Mom cooked our dinner while I prepared our dessert. It’s one of the best moment I had with my mom. While preparing for our new years dinner, we talked about my plan of going back to school. She still can’t believe there is a way for me to earn another degree studying in an Online college institution. I assured her that the government already recognize such kind of educational platform and it is already widely accepted. I told her I have the liberty of studying at home at my own phase. I’ve been wanting to try it as I want to learn more about business but doesn’t have the liberty of time going to and fro in an actual university platform. Being able to earn a degree at home is really a blessing to many of us. I really hope and pray I can finish a second degree and learn more about my chosen field. Happy New Year to all of us!

The Most Special Christmas

Hello everyone! I want to greet all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I would like to share with you what happened on my Christmas eve. I wasn't able to spend it with my immediate family but I had the most romantic Christmas there is. I spent it with my future husband Jojo. It's the first time we've spent our Christmas alone with each other. He cooked pork stew for our Christmas dinner while I prepare buttered shrimp and ref cake. We also grilled some ham and siomai. Just after our dinner at around 9, we shared a bottle of wine while watching a movie online called "The Black Swan". December Escapade

My cousin is treating us to a US trip this December. She have been living and working in Las Vegas, Nevada for five years now. Still single and enjoying life to the fullest. Dreaming of A New House

For the past two years since I had this computer, I never fail to search for an affordable house that I can purchase through a loan. I've been wanting to have our own house in a nice subdivision since we're only renting our place. How exciting would it be to design your own house and buy custom fit chairs and tables. Though I really don't know when would it happen, I am still fervently wishing and praying that I could afford such a house. I already have my plans for it as early as now. I would definitely buy one of those cute tiffany table lamps that I'll use on the living room. I love their glass table lamps! Then I would purchase those huge chandeliers to have a more dramatic effect. I also would like to have it painted white and brown, two of my favorite colors. Have I told you that daydreaming is also one of those things I love to do during my rest days?

Being a call center representative was my dream job before. When I came here in the city to look for a job, I have always dreamed of working in an office, wearing headset, sitting in my desk, talking to people over the phone, assisting them with whatever they need. Sometimes I log in on the phone without tools at all yet pulled up on my screen because I came in to work late or sometimes the system is down. Sometimes we talk with our seatmates while assisting someone on the phone. Some things have became really easy for us but still not everything. There are a number of issues that I still fear hearing about and really get lost and stutter trying to make myself sound so knowledgeable about the issue. Some of those are email, assigning static IP addresses, and some software issues. Include there the business account issues like webhosting, managed hosting and the like. What I do when I encounter such issues is that I transfer the callers to another department if my make-believes do not work. There are a lot of things and issues about networking I still have to master, like this new thing I heard called colocation. Im looking forward for a more techy me to be more efficient in this career I am on now.

Updates on My Restday

Today I celebrate my fourth year in the office...one more year before our retirement yey! I am really excited about my retirement as it would symbolize a new chapter in my life. I would be then resigning and would put up my own business. I would try to be a full time blogger for maybe six months and would again apply as a part time technical support representative. I would most likely invest most of my time serving the Lord through the church. I can't wait until such time I would again be able to get closer to God the way I used to before.

Unfortunately, my shift today was not that good. I don't know what's wrong with me but I don't really feel like working. I guess it's because I am still affected by what I've dreamed of yesterday. It's about a guy I like. I really feel that this feelings I have for him was not reciprocated accordingly. It felt so real and it hit me real hard. Theres' been a lot of attempt to forget about him but all failed. As my friend told me earlier today, it must be a sign that this one sided love affair won't have a happy ending.

Anyways, since it's my rest day...I have a lot of time checking the net for my early Christmas shopping. I prefer buying Christmas gifts online as it would save me time and energy as I need not go to a retail store to buy stuff. I also do get a lot of discounts and most of the time, it's a lot cheaper than buying on a specialty shop.I want to buy a cute kids backpack for our baby Empoy and a personalized duffle bag for Eddyson. For about three months now, we've been having some minor issues with our sink. Early Retirement

Ice, my friend and I would be celebrating our fourth year in the office next month. One more year and we can now get our early retirement pay which is equivalent to half our monthly salary multiplied by the number of years you serve the company. I am very excited for that time as I can now do the things that really matters to me. I would probably concentrate on my blogging business and would put up a small business. I would also most likely work part time in a call center as a technical support representative again or maybe a teacher. I could also use most of my time serving the Lord through chuch activities. I've never been this excited in my life...ever!

I only have one regret if I may say, I guess that would be leaving my friends behind. We already had formed this bond and that would be the hardest thing to forget. Financial Struggle

I just recently received a call from my father saying he is again having some issues with the rent. One of his tenants would be leaving soon and would use the advance payment he gave us before. My dad is asking for financial help again and would like me to pay for his tenant's one month stay. My initial reaction was, why would I pay for that. Since we left the house, he was the one who gets all the benefits and then all of a sudden, when problem arises such as this one...I would be the one to suffer the consequences. I don't know why my father always needs something from me. I know it's my responsibility to pay them back for all things they've done for me...but I guess, I also need to teach them the value of money. If only I have enough, I would definitely help him, especially now that he already have his own family and a child who would be graduating from high school this year - but I also have my own needs. My hubby doesn't have a job right now and we're really struggling in our finances. Only if my dad quit Gambling long before all these things happened, I think our lives would be different. I guess were still together and our family would be most likely still in tact. I would have no reason to run away so I think I would still be enjoying my singlehood if my father had thought of my future. Anyway, past is past...there's no more time to cry over spilled milk. I guess I need to work double time from this time forward so I could help my father with whatever it is that he needs.

I've been wanting to have my own house and lot. For two years now, me and my hubby is living in an apartment owned by my sister who is working in Singapore. We didn't pay a single dime in our two years of stay here and for that I am very grateful to my sister. But I guess the time has come when I had this very deep longing of getting our own place. I've been living in a rented place for all my life, I guess it's time to have my own place.

We've been looking for our own place since last year but can't decide on where to get a place. I want to live in a great community, not just place near the office. I want to have a two storey apartment with at least two bedroom. I also want to have my own home office where I could work on my blogs.
